There have recently been major changes and updates to the Baker Act, including the inclusion of LMHCs as authorized assessors. This workshop provides an overview of the Baker Act Law, Florida’s Mental Health Act, and assessor responsibilities and special protections for children and the elderly.

If your client becomes gravely disabled or a danger to self or others would you know what to do? This program provides clear explanations and procedures, special circumstances for handling adolescents, adults, and the aged. Participants will be provided a CD-Rom containing many ready to print forms.

This dynamic presentation will empower you to take the right action in the event of a crisis.

About the Presenter

Gloria Gluskin, LCSW has worked in the mental health field for over 25 years with extensive experience in direct service, administration, and training. She has worked with adolescents, adults, and the aged. Her presentations are always dynamic, fun, and invigorating.
